Occupational Health Advisor

One of our London based Public Sector Clients is seeking an Occupational Health Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis. You will provide evidence based occupational health services to the internal staff within the organisation. You will provide a service in a caring and respectful manner, whilst preserving the staff members dignity, ensuring complete adherence to clinical compliance and regulatory/governance in accordance to all internal policies, service standards, guidelines and statutory requirements.

The Occupational Health Advisor duties will include, but not limited to:

*Providing comprehensive and confidential advice to managers, HR and employees, making recommendations on fitness for work/tasks

*Advising managers with any reasonable adjustments for officers/staff as appropriate and provide access to disability support services where appropriate in accordance with the Occupational Health (OH) services delivery specification and agreed standards of work

*Carrying and managing a caseload dealing with complex cases when necessary, utilising time limited evidenced based interventions for a wide range of mental and physical health difficulties

*Refer employees on for advice and diagnosis from an Occupational Physician if required

*Producing updated reports on all open cases

*Communicating and working collaboratively with the OH Manager, Senior/OH Advisers, HR professionals and liaising with external agencies as required to exchange information in support to case management and health and wellbeing initiatives

As the Occupational Health Advisor, you will be required to possess:

*Registered General Nurse with a post registration qualification in Occupational Health

*A strong track record of providing occupational health advice, guidance and support to both managers and employees

*Strong knowledge for advising employees who are off work due to ill-health or returning to work following a period of ill-health

*Experience working on complex occupational health cases

*Previous experience in producing clear, legible concise and accurate case notes, letters and reports on Occupational Health issues, ensuring compliance with confidentiality, professional standards and data protection legislation
