Test Analyst

Rate - £300 a day

Duration - 3 months +

Location - Dorset

IR35 - Outside

Description:

The Test Analyst will develop manual test scripts in ALM (Quality Center). They will also be responsible for liaising with business users to help define requirements and capturing and managing defects through the entire defect lifecycle using ALM (Quality Center). The Test Analyst will plan and execute functional system testing with development teams and business involvement including the execution of UAT events.

Skills Required:

Essential

*ISTQB certification (foundation as minimum)

*Strong knowledge of the E2E development lifecycle, particularly the Test discipline

*Minimum 5 years Test Analyst experience

*Ability to write detailed, complex test scripts

*3 years' experience of ALM (Quality Center)

*Ability to define and manage defects within ALM (Quality Center)

*Ability to understand and test complex IT applications

*Strong business facing communication skills

*Self-starter, strongly motivated to succeed

Desirable

*Previous experience of HR & Payroll systems with an understanding of application functions such as standard HR processes (starters/leavers/etc.), Payroll, Employee Portals, Absence, eRecruitment, Leave Booking, etc.

*Previous experience of working in a public sector or education establishment

*Ability to demonstrate an understanding of HR applications (e.g. HR & Payroll System, Accommodation application or VLE)

*Previous experience of testing data migrations (ETL)

*Previous experience of testing application interfaces

*Previous experience of testing accountancy software and services (BluQube)

*3 years' experience of HP Unified Functional Testing (previously HP Quick Test Professional)

*2 years' Visual Basic skills in relation to UFT/QTP
