Role: Operation Manager - Vivace

Location: London

The role is responsible for implementing all of the ACE operations which will ensure that an agile and efficient capability is established, maintained and developed in order to meet the ACE performance objectives.

You will have overall responsibility for implementing and meeting QinetiQ's Corporate Governance objectives including Health & Safety, Security, IT and ensuring compliance and integration with the appropriate QinetiQ, statutory and regulatory Processes and guidelines.

Key Accountabilities

acting as the single QinetiQ focus for all operations matters;Maintaining effective channels of communication and liaison with all Corporate functions (Commercial, Supply Chain, HSE, Operations, Group Property, Security, lS etc.) ensuring full compliance;Establishing and maintaining the viability of the VIVACE business operations as a safe and secure work environment. This is to include;Undertaking suitable and sufficient health, safety, environmental and security risk assessments;Reviewing relevant risk assessments and recommendations;Assuring, by means of a risk based approach, that the VIVACE business is operated in a manner commensurate with the QinetiQ Operating Framework and Safety Management Plan, and that there is robust evidence on the relevant assurance frameworks;Ensuring that all necessary security and commercial arrangements have been put in place;

Maintaining the VIVACE emergency response and business continuity plans capable of reacting to any type of incident that jeopardises the health and safety of individuals, threatens the environment or compromises the security of individuals or assets, and leading the VIVACE response in the event of an incident;Ensuring that all occupants, visitors and contractors to VIVACE are aware of the health, safety and environmental standards and arrangements, and their responsibilities in meeting the legislative requirements;Maintaining effective channels of communication and liaison with all QinetiQ and local stakeholders, including Corporate Social Responsibility;Ensuring that arrangements are in place for undertaking statutory testing and planned maintenance checks of all assets and infrastructure used in support of QinetiQ activities and not under the direct control of a QinetiQ business department;

* Good understanding of health, safety, environmental & security requirements for activities, operations & sites;

* Ability to influence stakeholders;

* Ability to challenge poor behaviours and make corrective changes in a diverse organisation;

* Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.

Experience & Qualifications

* Experience of operations functions and managing multiple stakeholders;

* Security Clearance to be held and maintained at level appropriate for the role;

* Leadership and development of teams to meet specific objectives;

* Internal and external stakeholder engagement and leadership to facilitate successful operations and activities.
