Assistant Project ManagerAssistant Project Manager | City of London | Consultancy I am looking for an experienced Assistant Project Manager to work for a leading construction consultancy. As a company, they are committed to developing their staff and rolling out learning and development programmes focused on both technical and leadership development at all levels.With a solid pipeline of work, this company will provide you with the chance to work on challenging projects across a variety of sectors. They deliver projects major projects in the commercial, data centre, education, healthcare, hotel and leisure, residential, mixed use and retail sectors.This is a great opportunity for a driven Assistant Project Manager to gain invaluable exposure working on projects from conception to completion, whilst working within an experienced team of chartered Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors. Furthermore, this company provide exceptional training, including APC support. Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful Assistant Project Manager may assist the Managing Partner / Senior Project Manager on the following duties:Preparing scopes of work, appointment documents, programmes, and communication strategiesProviding advice on procurement, contracts (JCT), logistics plans, construction plans and conditionsPreparing and evaluating the contractor and consultant selection processProviding, understanding and commenting on documentation, including consultant appointmentsProcessing and developing change control documentationAttending client meetings and reporting on project progressProviding support to Cost Managers on projectsProviding input into final accounts and insight into loss and expense and LAD claimsMaintaining clients throughout the course of the project and post practical completion until issues of the defect's liability certificate Requirements for this Assistant Project Manager Must have a BSc or MSc in Project Management or a relevant degree.Proven ability to communicate confidently with clients, contractors and consultantsPrevious experience working for a construction consultancy or an end client.A clear focus on developing client accounts and forging new business relationships.Ideally experience working on projects within the residential, commercial and mixed use sectors.Experience working for demanding clients.Ideally have experience running your own projects. Remuneration for this Assistant Project Manager position: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum. (depending on experience) Car or travel allowance.Discretionary bonus.Fast tracked career development.Great pension scheme.
