Working alongside the VoIP Programme Lead and the Digital Communications Manager you will be supporting a project to audit and rollout new telephone handsets throughout an organisation.

Role Responsibilities:

* Assist with conducting a detailed audit of current analogue and cisco handsets, identifying new installations required

* Assist with the programming and deployment of VoIP Handsets.

* Provide floor walking support during and after deployment.

* Assist staff with telephone faults, record and escalate faults as necessary.

* Box up faulty devices, liaise with Maintel and stores manager with regard to their collection.

* Update and Maintain the telephone directory ie: all moves and changes, leavers and starters.

Key skills:

* Install VoIP telephones in accordance with department / Maintel standards

* Provide advice and guidance to users regarding the VoIP telephone system.

* Troubleshoot issues with installed handsets, replace and reprogramme when necessary.

* Identify, log, and resolve technical problems - liaise with IT Networks/ Maintel when necessary.

* Identify potential changes and system improvements, present to the Digital Services VoIP Management Team for consideration and implementation.

* Ensure that work is carried out within agreed service levels and in accordance with department guidelines.

* Create, maintain, and distribute reports of progress to VoIP Management Team.

* Maintain VoIP end users databases with a clear record of activities.

* Explain and document technical issues in a clear way to staff at all levels.

* Excellent Customer Service in Face-to-Face.

* Excellent Telephone or Electronic Interaction with Clients.

* Good Language and Communications Skills.

* Problem-Solving.

* Good Understanding of Computer / Telecommunication Support and Troubleshooting.

* Knowledge of Microsoft packages.

* Ability to Work in a Team.

* Ability to prioritise workload.
