A global FinTech leader in the handling of electronic trade finance has an exciting new opening for an Automation Test Engineer / Software Developer in Test located at Walton-on-Thames, Greater London.This role will be responsible for the QA testing of a Trade Finance SaaS solution for its global corporate clients. The individual will specify and implement automated regression and user acceptance tests to quality assure deliverable from off-shore and on-shore development teams. In addition, the successful candidate will also be required to specify, define and execute manual test cases as and when needed.
For this role, we are looking for an ambitious individual with a background in manual and automated testing for B2B online solutions. The successful candidate will have genuine hands on experience working alongside software development teams, either within a Software as a Service (SaaS) or specialist software testing facility.
ResponsibilitiesSupport Test Manager to implement Test Strategy for the company's SaaS solution, including testing governance, quality assurance and reportingWorking with Test Manager and Development Teams to :Define and create automated functional and non-functional test casesDefine, create and execute manual functional and non-functional test casesWork closely with on-shore and off-shore teams to ensure Test Strategy is applied during developmentSkills and Experience (E - Essential, D - Desirable)Previous experience working for either a SaaS company or specialist software testing company (E)Experience of defining and creating both functional and non-functional automated test cases using Selenium Webdriver with Java and TestNG (E)Experience of defining, creating and executing both functional and non-functional manual test cases (E), ideally using Zephyr (D)Experience of testing systems with a web user interface (E) and APIs (E)Experience of testing security aspects of a web based system (E)Experience of performance testing (E)An excellent understanding of defect management (workflow), test cycle planning (smoke, functional, non-functional and regression) and test progress reporting (E)Experience working within Agile development teams (Scrum and Kanban) and use of agile tools for test purposes : Jira for defect management (E), Zephyr for test case management (D)Experience of setting up Continuous Integration and test execution environments using Jenkins (D)Experience working with Agile Scrum Development Teams, both in-house (E) and off-shore (D)Good written and verbal communication skills (E). Ability to articulate technical issues (defects) clearly and concisely (E)Analytical and problem solving skills (D)Fluent English (E). Any other languages a bonus but not essential to role (D)Team player.
