Progressive IT recruitment are on the lookout for an Electronics Applications Engineer. The role will be based out of our clients head office in Sydney, working with the friendly and passionate team to develop new applications reference designs. You will be experienced in electronics hardware and firmware development and be able to create and commission new applications designs to meet customer needs. You will also be able to work and collaborate effectively as a part of an international team of Field Applications Engineers.The main responsibilities will include:Development of new applications reference designsElectronics hardware and firmware development and debugGathering information of customer needs, specifications and requirementsSupport of overseas customer applicationsWorking and collaborating as a part of an international team of Field Applications EngineersEssential skillsBSc in Electrical / Electronics / Communication Engineering or Computer Science3+ years relevant industry experience as an electronics engineerEmbedded electronic systems designAltium or other PCB design softwareWireless systems designBench prototyping skillsEmbedded programming in CPythonAbility to work in LinuxWireless systems bench testing with equipment such as vector signal generators, vector signal/network analysersDesirable skillsExperience with 802.11Worked with semiconductor design teamsDigital signal processingUltra-low-power systems designExperience with semiconductor qualification proceduresWi-Fi specific test equipment
