IT Infrastructure Engineer (2nd and 3rd line IT Network Support) - 3 months contract

My client is new comber into the IT industry, whom have big plans to grow their business globally. To meet their growing need they require a 2nd/3rd Line IT Network Support Engineer, initially on a 3 month contract basis. This position will report directly to the IT Infrastructure manager and you will be providing 2nd and 3rd level IT Infrastructure support (Primarily Microsoft stack) and this will likely also involve varied and interesting Project based work as major investment is planned in IT infrastructure throughout 2019.

The role will include troubleshooting incidents

providing escalation support and network issue resolution

active maintenance and improvement of the overall network Infrastructure

Crucial to your success will be your skills and experience in (most but ideally all) of the following technologies:Windows 7

Windows Server 2012 R2 skills, Windows 2012

SQL Server 2012 R2, IIS, Hyper-V, VMWare

Active Directory, DNS, DHC

Lync, SharePoint

LAN/WAN

Configuration of Routers, Switches and Firewalls

Apple/iOS Device support

Back-up and DR technologies

Office 365

There is potential for this role to eventually become a permanent position for the right candidate though is offered initially as a 3 months contract. The role represents a great opportunity as a contract role in terms of the breadth of exposure.to new technologies you will gain- Alongside BAU support you also will be working on varied business critical projects from day one.
