We are looking for a Lead User Experience Designer to join our Customer team and both build, as well as lead a brand new UX practice within state of the art facilities.

The ability to build effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders and meet customer needs is vital to this role, as it will enable you to deliver enjoyable interfaces based on user stories. A strong technical knowledge of UX deliverables will also enable you to provide creative solutions and establish appropriate design practices for the UKHO.

Experience:

At least 3 years' experience as a Lead User Experience Designer (or similar role) with a strong portfolio of case studies.

Technical

Practitioner level in defining user experience - creation of user journey maps and flows and defining information architecture.
Practitioner level in prototyping- experience in Invision, Axxure, UXPin, Figma, Balsamiq
Practitioner level in user testing - recruiting test candidates, defining objectives, writing test scripts, conducting interviews and analysing results.
Practitioner level in visual design tools - creative visual design and interaction design skills using primarily Sketch, but also Creative Cloud.
Practitioner level in creating and maintaining pattern libraries

You will be assessed at interview on the following criteria
Technical

Practitioner level in defining user experience - creation of user journey maps and flows and defining information architecture.
