Test Technician - Electrical12 Months ContractFarnboroughUp to £25 p/hourMy client is seeking several Test Technicians who specialise in electronics. The successful candidates will work on client site in Farnborough and will have a pragmatic, autonomous approach and be able to test down to component level on occasions taking a deep-dive analysis approach to testing.Responsibilities and Duties: Fault find to component level on PCB's using related equipment, e.g. Oscilloscope, etc.Reading, understanding & interpretation of electrical circuit diagramsWorking with 5VDC up to 500VAC (3 phase)PC literateTesting of equipment including Electrical safety checks e.g. Megger & flash testing Reading, understanding & interpretation of electrical circuit diagramsGood communicator at all levelsA team playerFlexible approach to extra working hours to achieve production targets Ability to learn and take on new skillsWork to quality standards i.e. ISO/QS9000To be proactive in ensuring that health and safety is priority including both company employees and those of the suppliers & customers. Knowledge & Experience:Electronic based apprenticeship, HNC qualification or equivalent experiencePrevious electronics test experience essential PC literateAccountabilities: To be able to work with minimal supervisionEnsure time taken is accurately recorded using ERP system.Comply with company rules and procedures.Able to work on own initiative, to meet agreed objectives in a timely manner.Desired Characteristics:HNC qualification or equivalent experienceEngineering apprenticeship or similar trainingExperience using ERP system (SAP a plus) Please submit your CV in the first instance.
