The perfect candidate will become a very key part in a fast-growing team, in a role as a Web Application Developer in Fleet, Hampshire.
The ideal candidate will have worked within a web development role, with a clear passion for writing beautifully clean and well documented PHP and CSS code to a high standard, in a bespoke manner. This opportunity will find you coding fantastic projects from website back end builds, to huge bespoke system builds and development of platforms for marketing activity. It's fast paced, and a minimum of 3 years relevant coding experience is required. We look forward to hearing from you.
Key ResponsibilitiesBuild new applications using clean PHP and CSS code in-line with best practicesTest work to a high standard and debug appropriatelyDeploy software applications to serversAssist in maintaining and expanding existing applicationsAssist in problem finding and continual bug fixesDiscuss and plan new or current project requirements, with internal teams and clientsGive estimation of time required for a project (internally)Identify weaknesses and opportunities to improve application performanceShare, challenge and develop best practicesSkill Requirements3+ years ' coding experience in a similar businessHighly demonstrable experience of PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSSKnowledge of WordPress and Magento is importantExposure to creating custom APIs and ModulesMust be a good problem solverUnderstanding of how to write maintainable code with the importance of testingAbility to monitor and maintain external web serversKnowledge of GITAbility to work as part of a team and hit sprint deadlinesGood English communication skills, both verbal and written, to both technical and non-technical audiencesA knowledge of server management and securityDesire to stay up to date with all industry developments and best practicesKey AttributesA self motivated individualAn outgoing, positive thinker, with consistent levels of evident enthusiasmHigh level of attention to detailHighly analytical and data drivenFlexible, versatile and ability to cope well in a high pressure environmentOpen, honest and direct.
