How many companies out there are still working with older tech like VB.NET but say they are moving away from it and actually never do?Some adopt an 'if it isn't broke don't fix it' mentality and thus stunting your personal growth, and believe it or not, there are better opportunities out there...
Such as one in Central Brighton which I am recruiting for. They have a new CTO with some great ideas and visions for their tech functionality and they've already started the migration away from VB.NET to C# and also are moving their hosting all to the Cloud
They need a Developer to help them on this journey, somebody with ideas and who wants an input in to the way things are done. Not many companies out there can offer the true chance to completely modernise an environment.
They're also moving towards continuous delivery / integration and they're in the midst of adopting a fully agile methodology. Their new stuff is also being developed with .NET Core and C#.
The role is working across all of their systems and the software you will be developing is used by people all over the globe. They currently have over 2 million customers and they've only penetrated about 8% of the market, which gives you an idea as to the growth opportunities.
This is a genuine fantastic technical challenge where you have a real input and can make a real difference. The environment is fast paced so you won't have time to sit and twiddle your thumbs.
What are we ideally looking for?
Strong C# and SQL experience Any experience with newer tech like .NET Core is nice to haveAny VB.NET experience is also nice to havePackage
