Are you a Senior Mechanical Engineer looking for the opportunity to work on the design and development of world leading radar and electro-optic products for a hugely successful global business? If so - I have a 6 month contract opportunity based in Edinburgh that could be for you!

In this position you will be utilising state-of-the-art methods, technology and tools to explore all aspects of the development lifecycle, including stress and thermal analysis, requirements analysis, design, implementation, test, build and product support. You will interface with customers (internal and external) on many factors within the design and liaise closely with Engineers from other disciplines, particularly Systems and Electronics.

The successful applicant will have:

*Ideally from an Aerospace or electro-optics background*Perform 'hands on' mechanical design and development using 3D CAD software (preferably Creo 4). The ability to create drawings and do 'first-pass' structural analysis to determine if a design is fit for purpose would be an advantage.*Adhere to standards for mechanical engineering best practice.*Deliver innovative, optimised engineering solutions.*Proven record on delivering design solutions against requirements, within budget and timescales.*Work as part of a multi discipline integrated project team
