Our Business and Commercial Risk lab sits in Risk Value Stream within the Group Transformation Division and has around 100 colleagues based in Edinburgh.

About the role:
As a Senior .Net Engineer you'll be supporting the Commercial Risk business, with a particular focus on the Credit Risk applications.
You'll work in an enduring team looking to improve the customer experience over the credit risk life cycle from the initial credit decision and throughout their relationship with the bank.
To this end you'll collaborate with our Risk partners to understand their challenges and needs to deliver benefit.
Here's where you'll make a difference:
You'll be a senior developer through the end to end software development lifecycle, responsible for the analysis, design, development and testing of systems to agreed standards and quality practices.
You'll work in a leadership role within our technical community on critical initiatives.
You'll engage with business partners from understand phase through to realisation of value.
You'll strive to develop yourself and others by sharing knowledge and technical expertise in order to continue building the best team.
You'll have a thirst to explore innovative ideas to drive new ways of thinking and working which will be actively encouraged.
What we need from you?
You'll be a .Net Lead Developer working through the complete software development lifecycle.
You'll have in depth knowledge of the following technical skills: Microsoft .net using C# and Microsoft SQL Server.
Knowledge of Cloud Computing and Containerisation.
Experience in Agile Methodology.
An understanding of Hadoop, Event Driven Micro Services, DevOps & Behavior Driven Development.
