My client are an established and successful technology developer based in Newcastle. They are responsible for a highly successful community chat app. Due to a run of success, they are going through a period of growth and are looking for an experienced Android Developer to work exciting new features and improving the stability of their Android client.Part of the android team in a small company, your role will encompass the entire software development life-cycle, including requirements capture, prototyping, design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance.Responsibilities:Develop, improve and innovate on our Android app, writing clean, maintainable and extendable codeBe part of our Android Development Team helping with implementing new features and maintaining existing codebaseRequired skills and experience:Be self-motivated, like to explore and organize your code and projectsHave a solid background in Android SDK Development using Java, Kotlin and Android StudioOptional skills and experience:Work with Android Architecture Components such as Room, LiveData, ViewModel, WorkManager, etc.Use Dependency Injection with Dagger2Do Unit Testing, TDD and/or automated UI testingWork among experienced engineers, doing code reviews and/or pair programmingSee your code being used by millions of usersFine tune third party SDK's and libraries in a complex UX ecosystem Pearson Frank International is the leading Java / PHP recruitment firm in the UK, advertising more JAVA & PHP jobs than any other agency.
