Data Analyst 
Birmingham, West Midlands

Set up under the Gambling Act 2005, our client is committed to safeguarding the public against any detrimental impact brought about by gambling. They do this by keeping crime out, protecting children and vulnerable people and ensuring the commercial gambling industry is run fairly and openly and they work with the legal system, the public health system, community groups and the industry itself to understand how they can protect the interests of as many people as possible, as effectively as possible. 

Our client is currently looking for a Data Analyst to join their team and play a key role in ensuring that data management capabilities meet the organisation's needs.

As a Data Analyst, you will produce reports and data sets based upon data analysis that solve a variety of problems for our client both internally and externally. You'll be identifying trends and points of interest and making connections between data sets and producing insight. 

Joining the growing Data Team, you'll be tasked with a range of deliverables, managing important internal relationships and working on your own initiative. You'll be using the latest software tools and analytical techniques to produce helpful, insightful data produce that engage and resonate with audiences. 

Your role will be split into two distinct areas; data management and analytics. Promoting better decision making through your high quality data insights, you'll collaborate with senior leaders to unlock the potential of our client's data and enhance their reach. 

Interested? To be considered, you will need: 

- Previous experience as a Data Analyst 
- Experience of carrying out statistical data analysis (both quantitative and qualitative) of large datasets 
- Experience of MS Office including Excel 

Proactive and articulate, as a Data Analyst, you will be comfortable working on your own initiative, without supervision, and able to build strong relationships quickly and with ease.
