Working hours: 37hrs / week
Reports to: Manufacturing Engineering Manager  
Salary: Circa £45k + Excellent benefits package   

Job Purpose:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Test Equipment Engineer to support, repair and improve test equipment used to test various Electro-Mechanical Aerospace Control Systems manufactured on site.

Scope / dimensions: As part of a team of Engineers the ideal candidate should be prepared to take full responsibility for the support, repair and improvement of a diverse range of electronic test equipment. We are seeking a motivated, technically minded, professional support engineer who is looking for increased responsibility and the challenge of working with a range of test equipment from manual to state of the art automated hardware and software. Appropriate formal and "on the job" training will be provided, as well as consultation and mentoring by the group's Design Engineers. The successful applicant will have significant knowledge working in a similar support role and will be encouraged to define and manage the support workload of a busy electro-mechanical manufacturing and test facility.

Key Responsibilities:
Technical support of the company range of automatic and Manual test systems 
Technical support of the company range of environmental test equipment 
Monitoring test-related data in order to predict and prevent unexpected breakdowns 
Implementation of test-related engineering change requests 
Devising and implementing preventive maintenance schedules for existing test equipment 
Definition and acquisition of key spare parts for test equipment 
Assisting with commissioning and release of new test fixtures and software as required

Knowledge / Skills: 
Ability to understand test software / programs written in some or all of; TestStand, LabView, Python, C++, HP/HT Basic, Matlab. 
Strong knowledge of electronics theory and some knowledge of electronics design (key requirement) 
Ability to read and work from electronic schematics and system diagrams 
Understanding of Environmental Chambers and Vibration Systems
