About the role:

The Risk Data Warehouse is developed using Oracle and IBM Datastage on an AIX platform.

As a Data Warehouse Engineer, you'll perform a key role within this environment crafting and building ETL jobs using IBM Datastage.

You'll work in an enduring team looking to improve the customer experience over the credit risk life cycle from the initial credit decision and throughout their relationship with the bank.

To this end you'll collaborate with our Risk partners to understand their challenges and needs to deliver benefit.

You'll be a senior developer through the end to end software development lifecycle, responsible for the analysis, design, development and testing of systems to agreed standards and quality practices.

 

 

 

 

You'll engage with business partners from understand phase through to realisation of value.

 

 

 

 

You'll strive to develop yourself and others by sharing knowledge and technical expertise in order to continue building the best team.

 

 

 

 

You'll have a thirst to explore innovative ideas to drive new ways of thinking and working which will be actively encouraged.

 

 

What we need from you?

 

 

 

 

You'll have validated experience as a Data Warehouse designer or developer working through the complete software development lifecycle.

 

 

 

 

You'll have knowledge of the following technical tools: IBM (InfoSphere DataStage version 9.5 or similar ETL tool), Tivoli Workload Scheduler, RDMS (Oracle), Data Modelling (using ER Studio) and be proficient in SQL.

 

 

 

 

Knowledge of Cloud Computing and Containerisation.

 

 

 

 

Experience in Agile Methodology.

 

 

 

 

An understanding of Hadoop, Event Driven Micro Services, DevOps & Behaviour Driven Development.
