My client based in Glasgow have an immediate requirement for a contract SQL DBA to come in on a 3 month engagement to help with a new project. Working closely with another DBA, you will be expected to hit the ground running and work off your own initiative. In order to be considered for this new position, you will need experience in the followings areasDisaster Recovery - back up strategies, replication, off site/in-cloud solutions.Performance - tuning queries, indexes, server settings, etc.High Availability - clustering and replication.Encryption - enabling TDE on the entire estate.Data Warehousing - setting it data warehousing.General Set-up - source control, properly managed development, pre-production and production environmentsThis is a great opportunity to work for a growing company where you can really make a difference.
