Network Architect - London - 12 Month Contract

My client, a leading technology company are looking to hire a Network Architect on a 12 month contract assignment to be based in London. The client can offer a competitive daily rate and are looking for individuals to start in June/July.

Role Background:The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of network requirements and design and completion network architecture artefacts to ensure delivery of resilient, performant networks.

Required Skills:Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years' experience within the Network field, ideally hands on Engineering work through to high level design.Any prior experience of designing and implementing hybrid cloud connectivity (on-premise, public cloud, private cloud) using; DirectConnect, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, etc would also be beneficial.Also of interest is previous experience implementing or auditing virtual perimeter security in public clouds; encryption in transit, Security Groups, WAFs, IDS/IPS, Anti-Malware, etc as well as implementing continuous compliance for public cloud network configurations using development tools such as AWS VPC configuration compliance.The client also wants to see experience of reviewing or auditing network implementations for security, performance, cost optimisation, and created corrective/improvement action plans as and when required.Prior design experience of MPLS networks is also of interest.A strong knowledge of NCSC security guidelines and AWS networking best practice is also essential.A CCIE Certification is also highly desirable.Candidates should be eligible and willing to undergo SC Clearance prior to joining my client.
