Information Security Analyst

Spring are working in partnership with a forward thinking exciting organisation looking to recruit an information security analyst to complete their thriving team within Sheffield

Sheffield

£26k - £35k - dependant upon experience

As an information security analyst you will be at the forefront of supporting a world class information and technology environment. You will live and breathe data and you'll be the go-to person for ensuring all this information is obtained, processed, stored and disposed of securely. You will also help advise existing staff on how to best use the information they currently have

Key Responsibilities

*Information and data will be your passion, you will know everything there is to know about the organisations data, policies, compliances and be the expert other staff turn to with any queries

*Assess information security risks and control them adequately

*Offer recommendations on best practice and implementing the best information security controls where possible

*Promote information security awareness across the organisation and provide tailored solutions / documents

*Be informed on any updates within legislation and guidelines relevant to information security across the organisation

You will need

*Some previous experience relevant to information security. This could be any experience within information security, data control, policy and procedure or GDPR

*A creative and organised mind - Your ideas should be innovative and thorough under a pressured situation

*Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills - you will be engaging with senior staff right down to entry level or service users so an ability to communicate with different audiences is essential

*Strong ability to create clear and concise written material and translate complicated data issues into workable solutions

*Enthusiasm and drive, you're a confident individual with a commitment to driving the organisation forward and a strong focus on on-going development
