We are a friendly, developer-run web agency based in Manchester's Northern Quarter, looking to expand our small team. Over the past decade, we've built up an enviable portfolio, working with dozens of diverse regional and national organisations, from HOME to the BBC: our clients include breweries and bars, theatres and galleries, music venues and festivals, broadcasters and publishers.
We are a full-stack agency with a focus on modern PHP 7 development - our projects range from frameworks like Laravel to content management systems including highly customised Wordpress builds. We focus on modern semantic markup with SCSS and Vue JS on the front-end.
About you
We're seeking a graduate or junior-level developer with a passion for web technology to join our close-knit team. Working on our new projects, as well as maintaining and bug-fixing existing websites, you will quickly gain knowledge and develop your skills, with plenty of scope for your professional development. In particular, we're looking for people with experience in the following areas:
Required:
Relevant degree or comparable web development experience
Strong PHP, HTML 5, CSS and Javascript experience , with example projects
Desirable:
Computer science/physics/maths/engineering background
Modern Javascript (ES6) development, including Vue or React frameworks
Modern PHP 7 development, including frameworks like Laravel or Symphony and templating with Blade or Twig
SCSS
Dev tools including GIT, Composer, Grunt, GNU command-line tools
Devops, especially Linux, Apache, MariaDB (MySQL) inc. schema design
Adobe CS experience
The role, which is full-time, is based in our relaxed office environment (no shirts and ties here - we prefer lunches out, afterwork drinks and playing table tennis), and includes opportunities for professional development and training.
