Senior Systems Engineering ConsultantCrewe6+ MonthsMarket RatesJob role:Flexible individuals who can lead and guide directly with the User community are key to the Business Change activities within the Edison programme. They must ensure the smooth adoption of process and tools which requires excellent leadership and communication skills in order to demonstrate and communicate the benefits of the new ways of working. This, together with the identification of gaps within the process and / or tools must be feed back to the project teams. Where appropriate the creation of additional User Guides / Training material to support the closing of gaps in user knowledgeDelivered soft benefits through rationalisation and automation of numerous requirements management functions.Developed process and customisation's to facilitate the sharing of requirements across the database.Implemented systems engineering best practice organisation wide.Created bespoke programme metrics reporting mechanisms.Rationalised the DOORS database structure to maximise efficiency of engineers working in the tool.Enhance the process in DOORS for Requirements Acceptance.Provide DOORS Administration support.Support end users, including the delivery of training.Develop the documentationSkillsEngineering Degree with a good background in automotive engineering environmentEE & Systems Engineering experiencedEffective People & Communication skillsHigh Level TasksGuide Engineers how to:Create end-to-end boundary diagramDefine RACI of roles for functional teamCreate function delivery planRequest & Analyse Requirement Documentation from Lead-Developer (Platform)Identify & Capture Bentley RequirementsDefine Delta between Platform and BentleyAssess economically and technically feasibilityPopulate interdependency matrix (function to component)Populate functional maturity plan against BIL timingUpload diagnostic dataGeneration of reports for upcoming reporting requirements / queriesHigh Level Deliverables:Direct support of engineers with process, methods and associated tools rolled out through the Edison ProjectCommunication MaterialTraining Material & TrainingUser GuidesFacilitation of User GroupsGeneral Training AdministrationConduct Training Sessions
