We're looking for someone who is a passionate, inspiring and commercially focussed, a product leader that can help shape and evolve this product and strategy moving forwards.

We're looking for an experienced Team Product Owner to join the API enabler lab, and build products that customers will love (internal and external developers & partners). The API lab is at the heart of Lloyds Banking Group strategy to build the bank of the future that ultimately aims to be the best bank for customers and partners that will help Britain prosper.

With the regulatory changes of both Open Banking and PSD2, it's becoming increasingly important for the Group to create a scalable, robust API platform and associated strategy. The power of accessing and combining banking information from all different providers, as well as exposing new services externally is huge, and has the potential to create whole new business models.

Working in our Web & App Internet Banking lab, this role will take charge of one of our features / capabilities which are helping to drive a step change in how 15 million customers bank online. Whether it's the Design System, App framework, Security Framework, Future of our Web journeys, each of these key product areas is shaping the way we create digital experiences.

Acting often in a B2B or B2B2C construct, the role will require the ability to not only understand end customer needs, but to also ensure the ability to understand the needs of our internal customers and build a product capability that is strategically aligned to our 'Bank of the Future' agenda.

So what are we looking for in you?

Ideally you'll have experience creating an API focused platform and new B2B business models that demonstrate the API economy.

You'll be proficient in the principles and practices of great product management, familiar with the technical aspects of automation of processes, micro service, cloud based API architecture, software testing and confident talking at a technical level with engineers, architects and testers.

You'll be data driven and bring evidence-based decision-making to explain 'why'

You'll be experienced in building out products that serve other internal or external businesses as well as end customers

You're comfortable challenging partners -saying "No," but also explaining why in terms they understand

You'll foster a culture of curiosity and experimentation in which people are comfortable "trying things out" and learning quickly and safely

You've a well-developed communication kit bag with extensive customer management experience

A natural facilitator and decision-maker, you'll enable collaboration across all disciplines within the Lab

Above all you're someone who's a big thinker, someone who wants to change the face of financial services, and ultimately someone that wants to disrupt the status quo, and create a new norm of 'API First' in the banking industry

And you'll influence positively - demonstrating similar values and behaviours to our Group's and encouraging this in team members

We'll be specifically looking for these skills on your CV:

Experience working with technical and cross-functional teams to deliver change

Led, shaped and delivered Web / App initiatives using Agile methodology

Led shaped and delivered API driven initiatives using Agile methodology

Experience in cloud based digital product initiatives

Experience of having worked in a B2B environment

Proven experience in strategic and large transformations

Advanced business insight

What else could you bring with you?

Experience of creating and leading Product Roadmap aligning with both technical and business priorities

Proven record of managing process improvement initiatives both in product and development space

Able to build a platform

Experience working with OKR's
