My client is a market leading bank based in Canary Wharf who is looking for a Senior Web Developer for Risk Data Presentation on a 6 month contract paying up to £730 a day.

They are looking for an experienced Web Based User Interface developer to join our team in London. We are building the user interface foundation library for our new global Market Risk platform and support application teams in leveraging our framework to deliver business critical tools and applications, including providing 3rd level production support.

You will be able and expected to leverage your extensive web design and development experience, to influence the framework shape and design, and to work closely with application teams and end users, mainly in Wroclaw, London, and New York, to help them deliver state of the art tools to analyze large amounts of analytical data, both streaming and live as well as offline for static analysis. We mainly use Typescript, Javascript, Java, Tomcat, an in-house developed in-memory relational algebra language and cache, and a graph-based data store. We apply SCRUM and continuous integration and deployment practices with automated testing using cucumber and Selenium.

Your responsibilities will be.

*Member of a small user interface platform development team based in London, within the Global Markets Risk Technology organization

*Deliver UI technology and applications to users in Front Office, Market Risk, and Product Control across Credit Suisse globally, in all business divisions, on our strategic market risk platform

*Analyze, design, code, unit test, integrate, and support functional and technical features and enhancements for our UI platform

*Support the team in developing and maintaining the vision and technical capability roadmap for the platform

*Teach, coach, and support colleagues in GM Risk Tech and other areas in using our framework to build their applications

*Work and interact with colleagues in the London office directly as well as offices around the world, using mostly email and Skype for business video conferencing and chat in English

You Offer:

List qualifications, skills and experience expected in the successful candidate

*Experienced web based user interface developer with at least 5 years commercial experience

*Well versed in the full application life cycle from design, development, testing, and deployment to supporting the application in production

*Solid background in JavaScript and Node.js required, with TypeScript experience a big plus

*Experience in enterprise web application architecture and design

*Experience in capital markets and market risk with exposure to Front Office a plus

*Computer Science or equivalent degree

*Fluent written and oral communication in English
