A global leader in the production of mechanical systems for industrial gas turbines is seeking a Business Development Manager to play an integral role in the next stage of their growth. This is an opportunity to join an established organisation with ambitious growth plans.Scope of workAs Business Development Manager, you will meet with both new and existing customer accounts, developing relationships with key individuals within each business and generating a pipeline of future business. Utilising your knowledge of the energy market, you will map out different sectors identifying prospective customers and building relationships.Furthermore, the role will involve working closely with the senior management team to devise and implement a strategic plan enabling growth within the energy sector. You will also liaise with internal departments such as engineering and procurement throughout the tendering and bids process, contributing where necessary before presenting high-quality bids to customers.The remit of this role covers both UK and International markets, therefore international travel will be required to meet customers on occasion. This position is a home-based position from which regular travel to customer sites across the UK will take place.You will:Have experience selling gas turbine applications within the energy sectorPossess an understanding of gas turbines and compressors on applications such as rigs and pipelines.Be strategic, delivering tactical wins in the short-term whilst developing long-term prospectsBe knowledgeable of relevant customers within the energy sectorIdeally have a technical engineering background (HNC/HND or Degree-Level etc.)Be able to travel on a UK and International basis meeting customers and generating pipeline for the business.
