Senior Network Architect - Basingstoke - 2 years

My client, a large multinational technology company, is looking for a Senior Network Architect to join them on a 2 years contract based in Basingstoke

Role responsibilitiesThe successful candidate will define the support criteria for infrastructure design, guiding support teams, using top-level technical expertise in order to resolve complex problems and deliver service improvements.You will alert and influence managers in respect of the availability of new technology and changes to existing methodologies that impact on the way the organization delivers services.You will also define, drives and improves technically related processes and influence problem escalation in critical situations to resolve customer issuesIt is your responsibility to lead technical implementation of large infrastructures and technical designs including producing cost and timescale estimates and identifying risks.You will establish multiple relationships with senior level customers and a range of managers across the organizationYou will also contribute to definition of customers' overall IT architecture, designing new solutions of significant size and complexity, and manage the work of specialists contributing to the design and implementation

Key skillsYou require Routing, switching, designing experienceExperienced with Cisco, Juniper experienceYou need to have security understanding, firewall etc.You must have experience of presenting solutions to customers for bidsExperience of writing bids (on the Network side of things)All candidates must hold Active Developed Vetting security clearance or be willing to undergo the process
