Field Service Engineer-£30,000-40,000 -LondonWe are seeking a Field Service Engineer who specialises in Protection & Control to work on a permanent basis for a leading Electrical Power organisation in the South.The field service engineer is a key member of the Service team, providing Application Engineering support both internally and externally and conducts Field Service activities at Protection & Control integrators and end customer facilities. Whats on offer?Salary up to £40,000 + Shift Allowance Great career progression Generous benefits package (Flexible Working Hours, Pension Scheme, Child Care Vouchers)Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:In this role the engineer will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.Perform Validation and FAT of Protection and substation automation systemsParticipate in installation and commissioning of Protection & Substation Control Systems.To gain knowledge of new products and systems. Maintain knowledge of applicable product line warranties and accomplish effective warranty administration.Ensuring that the Company's quality, environment health & safety policies are read, understood and adhered to. Always strive for continuous improvement. Qualification/ Skills & Attributes:Electronics/Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent knowledge or experienceExperience working on service and maintenance contractsStrong technical skills on Protection Relays, Communication Protocols, SCADA.Minimum 5 plus years' experience in Electrical protection and Substation Automation Systems, experience working on technical support, testing, maintenance, commissioning in transmission, distribution, industrial and power plants environments.Must have a valid driver's licenseEU Work PermitKnowledge on Power & Protection Systems.If you would like to be considered for the position please submit an application or contact Sarah Kesaulija on 01179 309 708
