Role
The Interaction Designer is primarily concerned with how the product feels.
Explore range of approaches to solving a specific user problem or addressing a prioritised opportunity.
Ensure that the product logically flows from one step to the next.
Conduct design research through user testing and observation to identify ‘pain points' and to drive out the optimal user experience.
Facilitate design workshops and create design artefacts as appropriate.
Production of user journeys, sitemaps, navigation schema, annotated wireframes.
Creation of HTML prototypes using prototyping toolkit.
Experience
Public sector experience preferable in an Agile role.
Previous Agile experience preferable.
Detailed knowledge of a wide range of UX and design techniques combined with knowledge of working within a digital environment including knowledge and experience of user-centred design practices.
Research analysis techniques including quantitative analysis, for example analysis specification, verbatim coding, text analytics.
Experience of health and the public sector marke and social research.
Specialist knowledge of Digital Design practices, tools and techniques.
Experience of defining and conducting user testing.
Data visualisation skills.
Digital accessibility in creative design and UI design.
Practical experience in rapid prototyping tools (Eg. Axure RP).
Understanding of front-end development methods and tools HTML, CSS.
