DevOps Engineer - Northampton - Remote working available

Your passion and know-how for technology must be superb. They are looking for someone to help adopt the DevOps methodology as they migrate to AWS. The ideal candidate will ensure that the managed service contracts provide value for money, architecting and implementing a CI/CD pipeline for our AWS based systems, Mentoring and coaching developers in the "DevOps way" and ensuring critical system uptime. This is a real opportunity to implement your own DevOps system and help input on the best practices moving forward. The Tech Stack Server applications: LAMPFront end applications: Javascript + AngularTask and project management: Jira + ConfluenceVCS: Bitbucket (Git) Key Responsibilities: Managed ServicesWorkwithAWS Managed Service provider to ensure value for money from the contractensure that critical systems stay up and runningAWS setup and configuration review and improveMigration of customer platforms to AWSCapacity, redundancy, recovery and DR3rd party security service implementationDocumentation of limitations and transparency CI/CDImplementation and enforcement of code commentingMonitoring of systems and code performance using 3rd party software (i.e. Nagios, New Relic/AWS equivalent)Release control, process, schedule and automation of app deploymentAssist QA in automating testing processesEnsuring high security of access and storage of critical data Mentoring & CoachingMentor and coach developers to adopt modern automated code, test and deployment practicesProvide technical consultancy for new initiatives, to assist in the definition of business requirements or technical strategiesCollaborate with teams to provide the guidelines and support to ensure high quality solutions DocumentationInvolvement for the technical inputs for tender responsesAutomated management reporting from JIRAInfrastructure policies and processesInfrastructureManage infrastructure upgrade pathsUtilisation of AWS services such as Rekognition What you need to be successful: Your passion and know-how for technology must be superb.
