Enigma People Solution is recruiting for a Senior Platform Development Engineer to join our client's wafer fabrication, located in Manchester.

Our client is a global leader in Discretes, Logic and MOSFETs. They produce consistently reliable semiconductor components at high volume.

Their power MOSFET business line is one of the top suppliers to the Automotive industry, and they are a major player in providing general purpose MOSFETs to the computing, industrial and consumer markets.

Key Responsibilities

Apply virtual prototyping methods based on simulation and modelling to identify and assess new device and technology concepts

Conduct feasibility studies on new technology concepts, coordinating activities involving mask design, device fabrication & assembly, characterization, and reliability testing.

Be part of a global team (either as project leader or technical expert) responsible for the successful market introduction of innovative and cost effective technologies

Support business critical engineering activities across the organisation, coaching and mentoring junior team members as needed

Key Skills

Degree or equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Physics, or a similar discipline, PhD and relevant patents strongly preferred

Expertise in power semiconductor device physics, especially silicon MOSFETs

Understanding of fabrication processes and device structures of power MOSFETs

Familiarity with TCAD simulation tools, SPICE modelling advantageous

Proven track record of accomplishment in an engineering or technical management role

Strong project management skills combined with an innovation mindset

Ability to communicate complex concepts and requirements clearly and to influence stakeholders at all levels
