Enigma People Solution is recruiting for a Principal Wafer Test Engineer to join our client's wafer fabrication, located in Manchester.

Our client is a global leader in Discretes, Logic and MOSFETs. They produce consistently reliable semiconductor components at high volume.

Their power MOSFET business line is one of the top suppliers to the Automotive industry, and they are a major player in providing general purpose MOSFETs to the computing, industrial and consumer markets.

Key Responsibilities

Undertake projects aimed at improving quality, cost, yield or throughput time in line with defined business objectives, and communicate results

Sustain and, where necessary, improve process and equipment capability (including CPK and R&R), and solve problems arising from equipment and/or process control deviations

Disposition lots held for quality issues in the Wafer Test are, liaising with Logistics, Production, Wafer Fab Engineering and Assembly Centres and feedback corrective actions to Wafer Fab Process Engineering

Lead or take part in projects aimed at improving process and equipment capability, and support the introduction of new products and process technologies

Ensure work instructions, specifications, and related documentation is up to date

Deputise as needed for the Wafer Test and Yield Section Leader

 

Key Skills

Degree qualified or equivalent in Engineering or a relevant discipline

Proven record of leadership experience gained within semiconductor Wafer Test engineering

Strong communication, drive, enthusiasm, problem solving and prioritisation skills

Effective interaction and team working with other groups, both external and internal

Ability to work in highly pressurised and changing environment

Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern of 4 on 4 off, 12-hour days
