Enigma People Solutions is looking for a Principal Reliability and Qualification Engineer to join our client's R&D centre based in Lincoln, England.

Our client has been manufacturing semiconductor products for over 60 years; providing IGBT, Bipolar, Power Assembly and Electric Vehicle System products to customers across the world.

Key Responsibilities

Scheduling of qualification and testing of parts, including sampling

Maximising uptime and throughput of all testers

Interpretation of outcomes and failure analysis of submitted parts where required

Interpretation and application of customer requested qualification testing

Ability to perform all standard qualification tests including pre and post characterisation

Ensure failure analysis results are recognised and acted upon by Design and Production

Working with and contributing towards projects that may involve teams of specialists and non-specialists both within the R&D Centre and manufacturing groups

Presenting complex information to colleagues in and outside of the team ensuring that it is appropriate in order to gain the understanding of both technical and non-technical staff

Create and establish effective working relationships with key personnel ensuring best practice is shared across the group

Interact effectively with external bodies in the development and promotion of products; research institutions, suppliers and customers

Research, identification and development of methods and materials to improve the reliability of IGBT modules

Promotion of better understanding of reliability testing and the causes of failures within IGBT modules

 

Core Skills

Degree or equivalent in relevant science and or engineering/mechanical engineering subject

HNC or equivalent in engineering/mechanical engineering or a physical science plus 2 years' experience in an appropriate engineering environment

Industrial experience in test

Effective communicator with specialist and non-specialist colleagues

Demonstratable knowledge of solving engineering problems and to make appropriate recommendations for improvement
