Apigee API Developers required by a sizeable and fast-growing FinTech with a considerable portfolio of platforms and products across Commercial Banking, Pan-European Banking and real-time Payments. The Engineering function is already up to 40 Engineers spread between three countries and they are now further growing their capability in API Management utilising the best-in-class Google Apigee platform. We are now looking to speak to experienced Engineers at all-levels from one year of relevant work experience in Apigee right up to Senior / Lead Engineer level. The successful hires will work on implementation of the Open Banking standard - designing, developing and deploying APIs for internal and external integration. Candidates should therefore have expertise in one or more mainstream language (OO or functional) such as Java, JavaScript, C# .Net, Python, Scala and/or Kotlin although you will be encouraged to learn new programming languages as part of the role. RequirementsAPI design standards, patterns, best-practices and development - using the Google Apigee API Management platform. Certification highly-desirable.Experience with the Open API Specification (Swagger) API security standards, governance, and implementation (Oauth2, OpenID) preferred.Polyglot programming skills preferred. Solid programming in one or more of Java, JavaScript, C# .Net, Python, Scala and/or Kotlin essential.Good communication skills, able to work in a geographically distributed team, and comfortable in working in a fast-paced and fast-growing environment.Prior experience of Open Banking, FinTech and/or Payments preferred but not essential.
