Infrastructure Project Manager. Infrastructure Programme Manager. Munich. Excellent Salary. Work for a large multinational company who is a leader in their field as an Infrastructure Project Manager or Infrastructure Programme Manager. To be based in the Munich office.

This is an excellent opportunity to work for a company embarking on very exciting IT projects and you will be the entry point into the global IT organisation for the business.

The Infrastructure Project Manager or Infrastructure Programme Manager will work as a trusted advisor and will see you be the main point of contact for this global Infrastructure organisation.

This role will require you to meet with key stakeholders within the business to ensure that their IT/infrastructure requirements are being met, look at how they can be improved and if they are not being met - then work with the global IT team to implement this. You will have global teams accessible to you (UK, China, India, US etc)

A key part of this role will be for the candidate to understand the infrastructure/IT services the organisation offers globally, understand each stakeholders business and map these services to their requirements.

The client employee circa 30,000 people and has a very broad infrastructure. Including; A large VMware estate. A lot of containerisation using Kubernetes, Docker etc. RedHat, Solaris. Windows. Circa 100,000 servers. Database - Oracle, SQL, PostgreSQL. Cloud - AWS, Azure. Automation. Data/Security. Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations (AIOps)

Key Skills for the Infrastructure Project Manager or Infrastructure Programme Manager:Strong experience being hands-on in an IT discipline (networking, Infrastructure, Database etc)Experience leading IT projects/programs.Experience dealing with senior leadership and key stakeholdersA broad technical and business understanding and experience.Excellent English and German language skills (written and spoken)

This is not necessarily a hands-on role and you will not necessarily be doing the implementation (you can, of course, get as involved as you want)

This role would suit someone who is currently technically hands on but would like to move into a management role or someone who is already in a similar role looking to grow their skills.
