I am currently resourcing for a Manufacturing Engineer.Contract Length: 6 MonthsLocation: BristolRate: Dependant on ExperienceWe are looking to employ a Manufacturing Project Engineer to support the cell based Manufacturing Engineering team and the wider Operations group. The successful candidate will provide Manufacturing Engineering input from concept through to full production handover.Working within a multi-disciplined project team, they will provide input and/or be responsible for:Effective introduction of New Products into OperationsEffective implementation and improvement of cells and support the management of changes into production.Effective & efficient use of the company standard MRP system for definition and control of product design.Support Engineering to produce accurate BoMs suitable for cell operations and supplying Manufacturing documentation.Cost reduction campaignsDocumentation of proceduresCapital justificationsProcess definition, capability and SPCInternal Supplier developmentDevelopment of verification regimes to effectively ensure the products ability and reliability and conformance to specificationsInterface with Commercialisation, Development, Applications, Control systems, Product Management and Operations groups effectively Key skills:Pro-activeMulti-taskingEnthusiasm, determination and tenacityGood communication skillsWork well under pressure Reporting to: Manufacturing Systems Manager To be successful, candidates should have a Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Production Engineering degree or relevant equivalent (HND with relevant work experience).The candidate should have knowledge of a wide range of manufacturing processes, be clear thinking and innovative.
