Big Data Architect - 80-100KManchesterYou will use data to enhance business performance by working with the latest technology such as Azure, Hadoop and Open Source. You will deliver strong solutions with your enhanced analytic skills. You will help clients understand the benefits of business technology solutions, helping reduce costs, analysing data and constructing solutions.The role:The Big Data Architect role pushes high priority customer initiatives, leveraging Azure data services to crack the biggest and most difficult data challenges met by our enterprise customers. This is a technical role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end deployment and usage for Azure data services.You will be responsible for Azure Data Services, technical architecture, data architecture design sessions, implementation projects and carrying out Proofs of Concepts. You should look to have experience in customer facing roles and past success leading deep technical architecture and design discussions with senior executives.Responsibilities:Profound subject matter expertise and evident hands on experience implementing Big Data solutions using Microsoft Data Platform and Azure Data Services; including Data Factory, Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Data Lake Analytics, Data Catalog, U-SQL and User Access ManagementProvide end-to-end cloud analytics solutions including; the creation of data factory, orchestrate data processing activities in a data-driven workflow, monitor and manage the data factory, move, transform, and analyse data.Design data pipelines to support machine-learning solutions; create and manage experiments, determine when to pre-process or train inside Machine Learning Studio, select input and output types, apply custom processing steps with R and Python and publish web servicesDesign big data real-time processing solutions and consume data for real-time processing, design and provision compute resources, design for lambda architecture and design for real-time processingDesigning big data batch processing and interactive solutions and ingest data for batch and interactive processing, design and provision compute clusters, design for data security, design for batch processing, design interactive queries for big dataYou will need 5+ years of experience with deep understanding in both traditional and modern data architecture and processing concepts, including relational databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, and Oracle, Data warehousing, big data Hadoop, Spark, Storm, noSQL, and business analytics.You need 5 years of success in consultative or complex technical design and deployment projects, where necessary, managing various stakeholder relationships to get consensus on solutions.You must already have an understanding of big data use-cases and Hadoop-based design patterns Knowledge of real time/stream analytics trendsYou are required to have 5 years of architecture, design, implementation, or support of complex application architectures such as having an architectural sense for connecting data sources, data visualization, structured and unstructured data.
