The successful candidate will have responsibility for order intake within the power systems area of the business.
Responsibilities To meet or exceed the annual Order Intake budget for the assigned business area plus other specific enquiries as may be requested by the Sales and Marketing DirectorTo undertake market analysis and relationship building to secure long term contracts, capitalising on company technology offerings, by establishing credibility with stakeholdersTo undertake a key role in structured business development with customers to position company to become the supplier of choiceTo manage, measure, and report all marketing related activities using an established Order Management Framework (OMF) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) processesTo ensure timely and accurate Order Intake forecasts are available on the company's business systemTo lead and actively support the tender process from prospect identification, enquiry capture, prospect review, bid approval, proposal generation through to successful order closure and receipt of order, adding value to the projects both technically and commerciallyTo take a lead and be actively involved in new product proposals, providing business cases for investment of resources to support business developmentTo support and provide input to the strategic planning process as requiredTo work collaboratively within the group of businessesTo prepare product publicity material, ensure the website content is reflective of our offerings and organise and attend exhibitions and conferences as required
RequirementsBusiness qualification (e.g. DMS etc.)A Degree / HND in an Engineering disciplineProven track record of success in a marketing role with relevant market knowledge from the defence sectorAn understanding of business processes relevant to a sales and marketing roleBid leadership in a team-based, multi-skilled environmentRelationship management, written and verbal presentation and negotiation skillsAwareness and capability in leadership, business awareness, communication, judgment, energy and drive.An ability to develop customer relationships and create winning propositionsPC and keyboard skillsVerbal, numerical and conceptual reasoning abilityThis is an office based position in Rugeley, Staffordshire but the successful candidate will be required to travel on company business both within the UK and worldwide
