Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer/ Security Cleared / NPPV Cleared / UNIX / Linux / ISA / AD / Hyper-V / Anti-Virus / Contract / 12-19 Months / Hemel Hempstead / Bracknell / Hartlepool

The Client:

The Client is a well established organisation currently looking for a SC or NPPV Cleared Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer on a 12-18 month contract basis based in multiple locations: Hemel Hempstead, Bracknell or Hartlepool.

The Role:

The Infrastructure engineer will be required to support and specialise in MS Windows server with a good understanding of Unix/Linux/Ubuntu technologies. Working within the ITIL process guidelines the team is responsible for the support of incidents, service requests, changes, events and capacity issues as well as reducing the number of Incidents logged though proactive problem management and Root Cause Analysis.

The Requirements:

* Current and Valid SC or NPPV Clearance (due to the immediacy of this project and it start my client is unable to put candidates through the security clearance process)

* Windows Server 2012/2016, including ISA and AD, clustering and network load balancing

* VMware vCenter & vSphere, including vCenter Operations, Capacity IQ and Site Recovery Manager

* Understanding of UNIX & Linux operating systems and versions including but not limited to RHEL, CentOS, Solaris & Ubuntu

* SAN implementation administration and capacity management, covering HP Enterprise Virtual Arrays or NetApp

* Installation, configuration and support of Hyper-V

* Symantec Anti-Virus

* Thorough knowledge of MS Back Office products including Exchange

* Thorough knowledge of Backup solutions, from local to Enterprise level

* Thorough knowledge of large network environments, LAN/WAN technologies and TCP/IP

* Clustering technologies

This role is a 12-19 month contract with a possibility to extend, paying competitive rates for the market. This role will require some travel and work at three sites Hemel, Bracknell or Hartlepool locations and client sites across the UK as required.
