Start-up software house backed by a much larger technology company is seeking a highly technical Tester. You'll be joining a small team dedicated to ensuring the quality of the core product for both mobile and desktop devices. Your role will focus on automated testing; you'll be writing test code in Python and C and adding functionality to the existing Python-based framework. You'll gain considerable responsibility and will be able to influence the quality of the software from an early stage.

Offices based in Cambridge City centre, short walk from the station. Casual dress code, informal and sociable atmosphere, good work / life balance.

Requirements:

*You're a technologist who enjoys breaking things to see how they work

*Experience of writing test frameworks from scratch

*Able to write code using Python and / or C

*Good understanding of software architecture

*Experience of testing embedded software or software on mobile devices

*Desirable: scripting Perl, C#, Ruby
