Operations Engineer (Network), Leeds £25,000-£30,000A Leeds based vendor who produce Safeguarding software, protecting children and vulnerable people, are recruiting for their Support and Install team. They offer a mix of software, hardware and virtual machines which use AI monitoring, advanced filters as well as providing expert advice to teachers, children and parents on staying smart and safe online.
You will join a lively, fast paced technical team remotely installing and supporting a range of products which include firewalls, web and email filtering and safeguarding solutions.
The Role:Implement/install products both remotely and, in some cases, on customer siteProvide support to a wide range of clients at 2nd Line levelProvide product demonstrations and customer training both onsite and via webexLiaise with other departments to ensure excellent customer service across the boardShow a passion and enthusiasm for the products and the impact they have in their environmentsEssential skills needed:
The role would suit someone from a 1st/2nd line background in network support who would like to be part of a company who offer a variety of features including a reporting suite, social media controls, Layer 7 app control and anonymous proxy blocking among a few offerings.Background in providing technical support at 2nd Line levelTCP/IP, Routing and Switching, VLANs NATAD, DNS DHCPFirewall access control, IPSec VPNWeb proxy and filteringLinux OSWireless networksIf you have any specific skills around Web filtering/firewall from any vendor such as:
Websense, Sonicwall or Sophos this would definitely benefit your application.
