3RD LINE NETWORK / SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

Location - Wyton ( Cambridge )

Clearance required - active DV

duration - 6 months

******** OUTSIDE OF IR35 ************

Our client is looking for a 3rd line network and systems administrator to be based in Wyton on an initial 6 month contract. If the below looks a good fit then please send your CV directly to me for consideration.

*Experience with site operations

*SME on existing architecture/interfaces/data flows

*Be able to maintain a strong working relationship with key stakeholders

*Experience in all phases of system design life cycle

*Providing product documentation / CONOPS and other technical documentation as required

*Troubleshooting product problems and generating fixes &/or workarounds

*Supporting design, testing, and delivery activities

*In-depth knowledge of Enterprise architecture, systems and associated support processes

*Proven and comprehensive track record in systems administration and database management

*Detailed understanding of software and systems engineering principles

*Certified Windows and/or UNIX system administrator or engineer

*System administration experience

*In depth knowledge of Powershell scripting, especially in automating administrative tasks

*Good understating of RDBMS and SQL

*Willingness to be part of an On-call rota to provide support upon request outside of normal working hours

*Flexibility to work evenings and weekends upon request outside of the On-call requirements

*Experience of leading Service Delivery in complex environments

*Familiarity with secure networks and environments and MoD & Government security standards

*Familiarity with secure system environments

*A solid understanding of IP networking, switches, routers and firewalls

*Familiarity of all major vendors network hardware and software management tools
