Strategic Planning AccountantMy Client are looking for a Strategic Planning Accountant, to work within their Finance department. The main purpose of the role will be to lead the financial and commercial modelling and other major projects. The relevant candidate will have the responsibility for project accounting, financial analysis, cost benefit analysis of business cases and more. This will also involve:Developing and managing future state financial model that underpins the Transformation Plan and can support decision making and any commercial discussions with the company.Support the Team in evaluating and pricing a multi-scenario risk register to sit alongside the finance model.To review and evaluate investment decisions and business casesTranslate finances for the Transformation Programme and Strategic Projects into the financial and management accounts, ensuring future strategies are reflected accurately.Provide finance and modelling support to all Strategic Programmes, major projects, construction projects and approved business cases.Identify opportunities and make recommendations for the business to improve efficiency and improve the control environment of the businessReview and evaluate investment decisions and business cases.Develop a team through managed development plans and provide cover and support to other Finance colleagues as required. The ideal candidate will have:Advanced Microsoft Excel skillsDrive, enthusiasm & ability to hit the ground runningBusiness partnerExperience of reporting complex financial data to non-finance managersQualified CCAB or equivalent Accountant with at least 2 years' Post Qualification ExperienceA sound knowledge of current accounting practices and processesA sound knowledge and understanding of the operational environment You must be able to work well as part of a team as well as working independently.
