Data Engineering Consultant - Manchester - £45-55k A fantastic consultancy who work with Public Sector clients is looking to recruit a Data Engineering Consultant to work from client site and home. The Company This consultancy supports organisations from a variety of different sectors, with a focus on the public sector, to implement a data strategy which aligns with the organisations overall strategy. They do this by providing the organisation with the right data insight to support their decision making. With a focus on Evidence based Management, this consultancy has enjoyed great success and has a great reputation in the market. This has led to an increase in projects and as such they are now looking to recruit consultants to assist in delivering their high-quality service. You will be joining a reasonably small team of professionals who are passionate about the work they do and the clients they work with. They will present an opportunity to learn and further develop your skill-set by providing expertise in the latest technology, such as MS Azure and Power BI. The Role Reporting to the Principal Consultant and working primarily from client site your role will be varied and challenging. You will have a focus on delivering BI solutions and working with MS Azure. Your responsibilities will include: - Working alongside a lead developer to define data requirements and support development. - Engage with Analytical leads to support data analytics. - Consulting and implementing MDM solutions. - Identifying data requirements to support analysis. - Assisting in architecture design. - Analyse source systems for ETL/ELT. - Designing and implementing an analytics platform, build on MS Azure, working with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, Visual Studio and Oracle db. - Delivering training and support to clients. - Developer and end-user acceptance testing.
