Senior Systems Administrator

One of our Surrey based clients is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join their growing IT team. You will be responsible for the management and maintenance of 80+ servers, both physical and virtual. You will support the organisations server environment, VMWare infrastructure and associated storage.

Senior Systems Administrator duties will include, but not limited to:

*Installation, configuration, maintenance and repair the server environment

*Manage the Office 365 establishment, integration with third party systems/software and general IT support

*Manage and ensure the optimal operation of servers, on both physical and virtual levels

*Management of the virtualised infrastructure with specific knowledge of VMWare, SANs and clustered storage

*Manage and ensure the effectiveness of servers (including e-mail, print, backup servers)

*Ensuring the server environment is patched and secure

*Supporting the organisations database systems

*Providing 3rd line support where necessary

*Maintenance of sever infrastructure

*Management of Microsoft Active Directory and Domain Services environment

As the Senior Systems Administrator you will be required to possess:

*Strong experience of managing a server environment

*Experience maintaining a server infrastructure

*Previous experience managing a VMWare virtualised infrastructure

*Experience of Microsoft Active Directory and Domain Services

*Microsoft MCSA qualified (minimum) MCSE (desirable)
