Senior Network Engineer

One of our Surrey based clients is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join their team to support and maintain the organisations Network Infrastructure, with integration server systems, services and applications. You will be responsible for the management and maintenance of 50+ Cisco switches, and provide third line support as required. As the Network Engineer you will also be responsible for the provision of day-to-day hardware/software support and network support.

Senior Network Engineer duties will include, but not limited to:

*Management of the Cisco Switching environment

*Management of the access lists and VLAns to ensure the optimal security of the network

*Ensuring the switching environment design lends itself to security best practices

*Ensure that the switching environment is patched and secure and in line with the organisations patching and security policies and industry standards

*Maintenance of switch cabinets

*Run data cabling and physically install switches wherever necessary

*Management of Cisco switching and routing

*Management of Cisco Firewalls

*Support the management of the WiFi and Firewall

*Provide 3rd line support when required

*Ensuring documentation are available and up to date

As the Senior Network Engineer, you will be required to posses:

*Strong experience managing a switching environment

*Strong experience of supporting a network environment

*Previous experience implementing small to medium scale IT projects

*Experience of managing Cisco switching and routing

*Knowledge and management of VLANs and ACLs

*Cisco CCNA certified (as a minimum) or CCNP/CCIE (desirable)

*Microsoft Server Qualifications
