Service Desk Manager

I'm working with a leading Microsoft Partner, and Managed Service provider in the heart of Glasgow who are looking to bring in an experienced Service Desk Manager to provide complete ownership of the Service and Support function within the business.

You will be involved in key decisions across the business, including, but not limited to;

  • Triaging of Incidents and Tickets to relevant team members
  • Coaching and training Junior/apprentice level staff
  • Co-ordinating Field engineers to increase efficiency of the response team
  • Allocating adequate resources to correct issues
  • Liaising with clients regarding the status of outstanding tickets.
  • Line Management of 7 Service Desk and 1st Line Support Engineers.

In return, you will be given free reign on how you run your Service Desk and Support Function - you won't be micro-managed, no-one will be breathing down your neck wondering what's going on 24/7.

This isn't a new role within the business, but there is an emphasis on you adding a new approach to the way the role is run.

You don't necessarily need to come from a Technical background - however it would be beneficial if you had experience working with any of the following;

  • Windows 7,8 & 10
  • Windows Server 2012, 2016 & 2019.
  • Office 365
  • ServiceNow (or equivalent)
  • VOIP Telephony systems
