One of the leading Digital Consultancies globally are looking to recruit an experienced Solutions Architect to be based out of their Manchester HQ, working across a range of business areas to help guide and drive a company-wide Cloud transformation. This role will sit in a globally distributed team, focusing on a range of strategic and hands on responsibilities. You will be given a large amount of creative control and autonomy, working with senior stakeholders to help shape the technical vision and guide both technical and non-technical stakeholders through their architectural roadmap. This role is a key hire for them this year and is a fantastic opportunity for you to legitimately deliver technical change within an enterprise environment. In terms of core duties and responsibilities, rather than simply copying and pasting the JD, I thought I would pick out a couple of areas - see below:E2E Architecture Experience - You must be able to demonstrate tangible experience working across the full E2E architecture piece, with preference given to candidates who can demonstrate experience of both Cloud and Data driven architectures. Experience with Microservices would also be a huge benefit.Cloud Experience - Cloud technology is at the forefront of their work at the moment so you must have proven commercial experience working with either Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure. Software Development Background - The vast majority of your work will be based around application architecture, so a background working across software engineering technologies (e.g. Java, Spring, .NET, C#, Python, REST API, JavaScript) is preferred. Stakeholder Management - Proven stakeholder management experience is crucial and a key requirement when applying for this role. You should be a strong communicator, able to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, acting as that conduit between IT and the wider business.Leadership & Management - Whilst not being a management role in the same vein as a Development Manager or Project Manager, your role will still involve a large element of leadership so basic management skills would be useful. If you've led software development teams in the past then that is even better! But in my personal opinion, what they are truly looking for are passionate technologists with a genuine drive to succeed - cliche I know, but you get my drift. So if this advert hasn't hurt your eyes and you are keen to learn a bit more about this specific opportunity then I would be happy to set up a follow up chat - I can be contacted by the following means:Mobile: 07943721308Office Line: 0191 338 7540Email: [email protected]LinkedIn: 'Liam Haghighat'Anything discussed will remain completely confidential and fully compliant with GDPR.
