Software Training Consultant (NHS software)

Department: Professional Services

Responsible to: Head of Professional Services

If you can run circles around the typical software trainer/implementation consultant; if you can think your way into a paper bag and back out again; design a winning e-learning programme or charm the gnarliest IT Manager you've got that thing that they are looking for. If you want to get into delivering high value software solutions then this may well be the opportunity for you.

You will be joining an established software business based in central Bristol who are doing great things in healthcare software for the NHS and looking to start shouting about what they do.

The primary role of the Training Consultant is to deliver training and consulting support services to users within the NHS. These will be centred around new feature releases, new module implementations as well as new name clients. Whilst you will have the support of the sales team you will also be expected to develop your own sales campaigns within their existing client base.

The secondary role is the development of product and training documentation as well as product testing and support.

The consultant will also conduct and support pre-sales demonstrations.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and prepare educational/training aids and materials, as needed to create effective use of the software application and workflows.

- Deliver specific product training courses with the ability to consult on the specific use of the products within the NHS environment, delivering an understanding of the value-added features of the solution.

- The development of online training content for users with various computer abilities to promote learning and provide autonomy.

- Preparation of product user manuals, taking into account the continual evolution of the products and the need to provide user friendly documentation.

- Testing of new product versions.

- Provide assistance to customers including telephone support, investigation of issues, direct consultation with the client and resolution of product queries.

- Market and promote training opportunities to clients in a compelling way that provides all the necessary information.

- Conduct regular, client whole-organisation assessments, identifying skills or knowledge gaps that need addressing.

- Analyse and incorporate new training methods and techniques.

- Evaluate effectiveness of training courses and provide summary reports to management, determining impact of training on employee skills and corporate goals.
