We currently require the services of a Java Developer with Big Data Experience to work for a well respected client based in Glasgow.Contract Length - 3 Months
Location - Glasgow
Immediate Start
Key skills required:
Core JAVA 1.8, Web Services (REST is mandatory), SPRING Framework (must have Spring Boot), Oracle SQL with Performance knowledge.Cloud experience preferably PCF or AWSProven Data Processing skillset with experience in HDP tools and techniques. For example (not exhaustive):Kafka Real time messagingSparkHBase modelling and developmentSpark processing and performance tuningHDFS file formats partitioning for eg; Parquet, Avro etc;Impala/HiveUnix Shell ScriptingProficiency in ScalaWorking proficiency in developmental toolsets like Eclipse, IntelliJExposure/competence with Agile Development approachSolid experience utilizing Source code control software (e.g. GIT, Subversion)Multi-threaded ProgrammingJenkins/MavenFindBugs, Sonar, JUNIT, Performance, Memory ManagementExcellent commutation skillGood understand of software development life cycleExperience in delivering Data Solutions using Big-Data technologies and cloud platforms.
